All too often when people are down on their luck, or they have suffered a tragic event, they feel sorry for themselves and wonder why God has singled them out for misfortune. They believe they have done nothing to deserve such treatment and it is all very unfair.

The truth of the matter, according to my spirit guide, Albert, is that we all have created our own realities on Earth by virtue of our pre-birth planning and our free will actions since birth. God does not control or manipulate the events in our lives, and he does not make rules for us to follow. You chose the life you are living without any directives from God or anyone else, so you can never be the victim of someone else’s actions.

No matter what happens to you on your journey, you get to choose how you react to each event in your life, good or bad, which influences your perception of reality on a day-to-day basis. You can choose to be happy and fulfilled or despondent and unsatisfied—it is up to you.
